As an Infant Educator, you will be responsible for caring for infants and toddlers aged 2 months to 18 months. Your day-to-day tasks will include maintaining a safe and stimulating environment for infants and toddlers, providing nutritious meals, and developing age-appropriate activities to facilitate development.
The challenges:
- Fosters a quality learning environment. This is done via the carrying out of a progressive and culturally sound curriculum.
- Be sensitive to each child’s needs (in a group setting) via respectful, reciprocal interactions and relationships.
- Provide routine care such as bathing, diapering
- Follow curriculum framework to plan and provide teaching and care.
- Follow health, safety, nutritional and hygiene standards.
- Help to watch and document children’s learning.
- Provide warmth and care to instil a sense of security in children.
Requirements:
- Certifications in Early Childhood Care & Education (DPT/CPT/HCIC/CIT/ACEY)
- Possess Fundamentals or Certificate in Preschool teaching
- Experience in toddler care will be an advantage
- Passionate in nurturing infants and toddlers
- Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Knowledge of infant and toddler development, as well as experience in planning and implementing age-appropriate activities
