Job Responsibilities:
- Make sure the power plant operates smoothly and meets its output goals.
- Prepare, start up, and shut down plant equipment as needed, and keep an eye on everything while it’s running.
- Check the plant's performance regularly and fix any issues to keep things running well.
- Find and report any problems with the plant or equipment and fix them.
- Stick to the plant’s schedule and perform necessary tests and inspections.
- Respond to any emergencies, equipment failures, or outages.
- Oversee the operation and maintenance of equipment, making sure all safety rules are followed.
- Check work areas, tools, and equipment to avoid unsafe conditions and rule violations.
- Prepare daily shift reports and other necessary operational documents.
- Work with external agencies (like EMA, PUB, NEA, SCDF) on operational issues during your shift.
Requirements:
- Nitec/Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or an equivalent discipline.
- Knowledge of plant processes, operations, and safety protocols.
- Relevant experience in power plant operations, or related industries, is advantageous..
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Maximo EAM or equivalent software.
- Strong analytical and communication skills, self-motivated, independent, and a team player.
- Willingness to work 12-hour rotating shifts.
