Our client is a Prominent Global Crypto Exchange Firm. Currently seeking a Senior Quant Developer to join their Quant Trading team. The ideal candidate will be tasked with Kafka for the middleware(s), someone familiar with trading terminology and risk booking for their dynamic team and intricate trading settings
Responsibilities:
- Develop and optimize applications using Java and Python, emphasizing performance and scalability.
- Deploy and manage event processing and messaging queues, specializing in Kafka, Flink, and Complex Event Processing (CEP) technologies.
- Perform quantitative data analysis using a robust analytic framework to enhance decision-making and system performance.
- Design, implement, and oversee cloud-based solutions on AWS for enhanced availability and scalability.
- Collaborate with teams to automate and streamline trading, reconciliation, and analytics processes.
- Provide advanced technical support and troubleshooting for developed systems and applications.
- Utilize tools like Prometheus and Grafana for effective time-series data visualization and monitoring.
- Generate and maintain statistical reports and reporting systems to derive actionable insights.
- Manage and fine-tune Kubernetes (k8s) clusters for efficient container orchestration.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in Java and Python development.
- Deep understanding of event processing and messaging queues, including Kafka, Flink, and CEP technologies.
- Proficiency in AWS cloud services and expertise in managing Kubernetes environments.
- Demonstrated capability in quantitative data analysis and familiarity with quantitative analytic frameworks.
- Proficiency in Prometheus and Grafana for time-series data visualization and monitoring.
- Experience in developing and maintaining reporting systems with strong statistical report generation skills.
- Preferred experience in a trading or financial environment.
- Solid grasp of system design, data structures, and algorithms.
- Strong problem-solving abilities in high-pressure, fast-paced environments.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Nice to Have:
- Knowledge of Aeron messaging and Simple Binary Encoding (SBE) protocol.
- Familiarity with C++ and FPGA programming.
- Understanding of cryptocurrency markets and related technologies.
- Experience in network programming (TCP, WebSocket).
- Proficiency in Linux system administration and optimization.
- Previous exposure to technologies like Boost, ZeroMQ, MongoDB, and Protobuffer.
