Summary of Job
We are looking for a Marketing Communication Assistant Manager / Manager who believes in the Make-A-Wish Singapore’s cause of granting wishes to children with critical illnesses, and is able to use his/her communication expertise and experience to promote and enhance our cause and objectives. The successful candidate is one who is self-motivated, creative in coming up with strategies to engage our audiences, and agile in adapting to the dynamic communication needs of the organisation.
Key Responsibility Areas
- Develop effective communication and marketing strategies to drive corporate mindshare top mind recall and increase public awareness.
- Develop engaging social media content across owned platforms to cultivate and build online support for our cause.
- Effective use of data to inform planning, execution and analyses of communication efforts.
- Implement innovative ways to engage and grow supporters and donors of Make-A-Wish Singapore.
- Develop and manage the organisation’s brand champions / ambassador network.
- Provide communication support for Make-A-Wish Singapore’s key events (e.g. Charity Golf, Santa Race) and the organisation’s operational communication needs (e.g. Newsletter, Annual Report).
- Build and maintain good working relations with the media.
Requirements
Experience:
- At least 5 years of communication-related experience (e.g. digital media / marketing, content creation, journalism, events management with a comms function, etc.) in PR, Marketing and Communication
Qualifications:
- Degree / Diploma in communication-related disciplines. (e.g Digital Media, Journalism, Marketing, and PR-related areas required
- Experience in social service sector preferred
Competencies (Skills, Knowledge, and Capabilities):
- Strategic thinker with proven strong skills in communication roles. across PR, communication, and marketing
- Capable of creating effective publicity outcomes across both digital and non-digital platforms e.g. creating content for Make-A-Wish Singapore on digital/social media, pitching stories to media and drafting effective press releases.
- Proficient in data analyses and understanding of well-versed and up-to-date with communication and marketing industry trends/practices/developments to apply to Make-A-Wish Singapore’s cause.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Keen analytical and tactical skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills working with both internal and external stakeholders.
- A positive and self-motivated individual who is also a team player in supporting and helping others succeed.
Official working hours:
- 8:30am – 5:30pm (We have a WFH policy for confirmed staff).
- Candidate may be required to work on weekends for events that fall outside weekdays.
