Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Head Chef in preparing ingredients and food materials for daily menu items.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, ensuring all hygiene and food safety standards are met.
- Assist in the procurement of high-quality food supplies, ensuring optimal stock levels.
- Help with cooking and preparing dishes according to the restaurant's standards and recipes.
- Ensure kitchen equipment is properly maintained and operational.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely and efficient food service.
- Follow and enforce all health and safety regulations within the kitchen.
- Participate in daily kitchen operations and contribute to a positive team environment.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a kitchen assistant, line cook, or similar role.
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards, SFA level 1 certificate.
- Strong culinary skills and a passion for cooking.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- High school diploma or equivalent; culinary school training is a plus.
- Chinese mandarin is required.
