Senior HR Manager

Baxter Healthcare (asia) Pte Ltd

The Senior HR Manager will form part of the APAC HR team and work directly with the Advanced Surgery, Quality and Regulatory Affairs and Technical Services VP Leader and Senior Leadership team to provide strategic support to achieve business unit goals in the areas of Culture, Leadership, Performance and Employee Engagement and Recognition.This role will play a critical role in both developing and delivering the People and Culture strategy to the business and building capability, and managing high impact change to ultimately drive performance and growth.

Duties and Responsibilities

· Part of the senior leadership team providing advice on people and culture strategy and plans

· Participate in the APAC HR Leadership team and collaborate with HR Centres of Excellence across the region

· Understanding of the business and external environment and contributes to the strategic direction of the unique business areas.

· Champion and drive culture initiatives to raise the profile as a great place to work

· Support the annual remuneration and bonus processes for APAC based employees

· Partner with the VP and Senior Leadership team to drive effective organizational alignment and processes to enable strong partnerships with key functions.

· Lead change management efforts in partnership with the Senior Leadership team and L&D partner.

· Partner with the Senior Leadership team in establishing effective operating processes (i.e. prioritization, resource allocation processes)

· Drive an effective reward and recognition strategy that reinforces the culture and behaviors.

· Aligns people requirements and structure with business needs and developments

· Provide performance management guidance to People Leaders (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions)

· Lead HR Calendar activities such as: Talent Review & Planning processes, Employee Engagement Surveys, Annual Compensation Review, annual headcount/payroll budget process

· Lead HR inductions with new employees and coordinate meet and greet with relevant stakeholders

· Provide leadership expertise with organisational design and related restructures

· Lead HR activities across the employee lifecycle.

· Stay up-to-date with changes in employment laws and regulations across APAC, and ensure adherence to relevant legislation.

· Create a positive and inclusive work culture, promoting employee engagement and well-being.

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive organizational development and change management initiatives.

EHS & GMP Responsibilities - compulsory

EHS & GMP Responsibilities (Individual Contributor)

· Pro-actively contribute to zero harm workplace for all employees

· Comply with legal and corporate EHS requirements, safe work practices and EHS policies and procedures at all times

· Report all hazards, near misses and incidents as soon as practicable and participate in identifying actions to prevent harm from occurring to our people and/or our environment

· Employees at every level are responsible for quality (GMP) and regulatory performance in the department to ensure quality program is met

· Ensure compliance with government regulations, legal documents and safety and ethical standards, obtaining legal compliance training.

EHS Responsibilities (People Leader)

· Drive culture of zero harm workplace for all employees

· Ensure compliance with legal and corporate EHS requirements, safe work practices and EHS policies and procedures at all times

· Ensure all hazards, near misses and incidents are reported and investigated to identify root cause and ensure actions implemented to prevent harm from occurring to our people and/or our environment

· Ensure all employees trained to perform their roles safely and any regulatory-based training is completed as required

Qualifications, Experience & Skills

Qualifications

· MBA or Master’s degree in an HR discipline preferred

Experience

· Minimum 8-10 years of HR experience that includes at least 5 years of generalist acumen experience

· Health Care, R&D or High Technical equipment background preferred.

· Ability to give accurate and timely advice on HR policies and practices and the relevant Employment Laws across APAC

· Providing HR and employee relations advice in a complex environment

Skills/Technical

· Strong leadership and influence skills, and the ability to drive change

· Demonstrated ability to build effective working relationships with management team and to coach and influence decision making of senior leaders

· Strong project management skills and results orientation

· Good business acumen and judgment

· Demonstrated ability to help define, translate and execute on an organization’s strategy

· History of delivering results

· Excellent communication and listening skills

· Solid knowledge of HR strategies, practices and policies

· Demonstrated ability to manage and resolve conflict
