Our client has a mission to create sustainable and greener environment for future generations through innovation and technologies. They specialises in end-of-life tyre management and is currently looking for Tyre Retreading Specialist to join the team.
The candidate will need to assess scrap tyres' potential for retreading, ensuring that only tyres unfit for retreading proceed to end-of-life treatment via plasma pyrolysis. He/She will be working together to develop an AI-based solution with support from Institutes-of-Higher-Learning (IHLs) that can improve the tyre analytics and insight gathering.
The work location will be based in the East - Loyang.
Job Responsibilities:
- Inspect and evaluate scrap tyres to determine their suitability for retreading.
- Conduct on-site inspections and demonstrate the ability to identify tyres suitable for retreading.
- Collaborate with the processing team to ensure proper segregation of tyres.
- Maintain detailed records of tyre assessments and decisions.
- Work closely with suppliers and retreading partners to understand the latest trends and technologies in tyre retreading.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the tyre evaluation process.
- Embrace and implement digitalisation and new technologies in the evaluation process.
- Contribute to a team-oriented environment and support cross-functional collaboration.
Job Requirements:
- 3-5 years of experience in tyre retreading, preferably with established Singapore-based companies that have tyre retreading operations.
- Proven expertise in assessing the retreadability of scrap tyres.
- Understanding of tyre retreading processes and technologies.
- Relevant technical qualifications or certifications in tyre technology, automotive engineering, or related fields are preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Self-driven, proactive, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to embrace digitalisation and new technologies.
