Duties and Responsibilities

The Manager / Principal role is a senior-level role and is open to professionals with an M.B.A. or equivalent work experience and some managerial experience. As a Manager / Principal at Altman Solon, you will play a critical role in leading teams through project analyses, formulating and delivering recommendations, and building relationships clients.

To meet the increasing need to deliver tangible AI assets as part of large corporate engagements within the APAC region, Altman Solon is looking for a delivery lead responsible for ensuring end-to-end delivery of high-quality AI projects to clients within time and budget requirements. Outside of these major engagements, the AI delivery lead is expected to take a full part in Altman Solon’s other client engagements both transactional and corporate. Responsibilities include:

1. Leveraging problem solving skills to generate original frameworks synthesising client business problems into logical models and components
2. Remaining flexible and adaptable when goals or deadlines shift and when technical complexities are discovered
3. Working with stakeholders to manage execution of projects, including optimizing solutions, assuming a primary point of contact role, and leading junior staff in designing analytical models
4. Defining analytic and technical design as well as deliverable components of corporate strategy engagements
5. Ensuring alignment with, and managing, internal and external stakeholders relative to overall business objectives and throughout the engagement
6. Providing functional and technical governance throughout end-to-end process of the technical delivery
7. Defining organizational capability requirements for a large engagement and manage the closure of any gaps using internal, partnership, and external resources
8. Maximizing the use of Altman Solon’s existing models, platforms, and tools to ensure incremental IP capabilities are captured and fed back into Altman Solon’s knowledge relationships
9. Contributing to global AI growth through recruitment, process, and best practice
10. Developing client-specific knowledge while supporting business development efforts
11. Acting as delivery SME within business development and pre-sales processes

Qualifications

The AI Delivery Manager / Principal role is a leadership role within APAC and applicants will be responsible and accountable for AI deliverables. As a leader with APAC, they are responsible for helping to build the team and shaping the culture within region.

This is a client facing role. The candidate must be comfortable communicating with both executive level and technical specialists at client companies. In addition, effective communication with internal partners is a key part of the role.

Candidates should have the following qualifications:

Required Skills

• 10+ years’ experience, minimum of 5 years in consulting, strategy consulting strongly preferred
• 2+ years’ experience in a leadership role delivering complex data and analytics project with durations over 6 months and budget above 5M USD
• TMT experience strongly preferred, ideally with a focus on Mobile or Fixed line operators
• Experience working within a global organisation and experience in leveraging a global staffing model
• Proven track record as a solution architect

Desired Skills

• Exposure to Geospatial Analytics and tools include ArcGIS, QGIS, Tableau
• Exposure to cloud-based AI/ML environments such as DataBricks
• Exposure to industry standard architectural frameworks such as TOGAF
