Position Summary
Lionbridge Games is seeking passionate gaming linguists to work in Singapore. This role involves translating, reviewing, and auditing localization tasks in close collaboration with linguists, project managers, and the global production team. You'll be responsible for upholding high linguistic quality, ensuring tasks are completed promptly, and conducting thorough quality assurance. Adherence to document standards, style guides, and client-specific checklists is vital to meet the rigorous quality standards of both Lionbridge and our clients.
What You Will Do
- Translate, review, and audit all linguistic tasks for localization.
- Work closely with other linguists, project managers, and the production team to ensure high standards of linguistic quality in all projects.
- Complete all linguistic tasks of an assigned project in a quality and timely manner.
- Perform quality assurance tasks to ensure the integrity of the deliverable, including consistency of linguistic glossaries, terminology, and style.
- Ensure the quality of responsible projects meets both Lionbridge standards and Client's requirements.
To Be Successful You Will Have
- Native proficiency in Filipino. Proficient in English communication and advanced proficiency in English.
- Bachelor's degree or higher and 2 years of professional experience in the translation or localization industry.
- Ability to work independently, quick-learner, detail-oriented, quality-focused, and proactive.
- Passion for gaming and experience as a game player. Knowledge of the game industry and development cycle is preferred.
- Awareness of sensitive issues (historical, political, social) from the Philippines, and consistently immersed in the latest trends of the language, understanding how to transmit the emotional side of good localization.
- Ability to work effectively in a multicultural team with minimal supervision.
