Responsibilities :
- Provide legal assistance to the In-house Legal Specialist and cross-functional project teams on regulatory and commercial issues in the construction and engineering areas
- To focus and provide legal advice on project development, from pre-contractual stage to structuring joint ventures, and also on construction contract work
- Ensure and oversee compliance of Singapore office and regional affiliates on policies, regulations and legal processes
- Identify risk and liabilities inherent in tenders and contracts
- Propose and negotiate amendments to minimize or mitigate the issues/risk, but at the same time, conforming with Company’s acceptable contracting policies
- Ensure that signed contracts are communicated to project staffs, i.e., to provide contract awareness, interpretation and advice to the whole project team
- Review any project-related correspondences/investigation reports and ensure that sufficient evidence has been obtained to support the recommended enforcement action
- Liaise with and manage external law firms and advisors
Requirements :-
- Degree in Law/Legal Studies/Construction law or related in relevant industry
- Min.3 years preferably in Construction/Engineering industry
- Good knowledge of project management principles
- A team player with the willingness to be involved beyond the formal job remit
- Strong work ethics
- Must have uncompromised integrity
- International experience would be welcomed
- Able to converse in both English & preferably Mandarin as required to liaise with Mandarin speaking Clients
- Singaporean or Singapore PR preferred
