Key Responsibilities:
- Facility and Equipment Maintenance:
- Oversee the maintenance of Company all assets’ systems.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to ensure equipment and facilities are in good working order.
- Coordinate and supervise repairs and maintenance activities, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
- Team Management:
- Lead, train, and manage a team of maintenance technicians and other staff.
- Assign tasks, monitor progress, and ensure that work is completed efficiently and to a high standard.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members.
- Vendor and Contractor Management:
- Liaise with external contractors and vendors for specialized maintenance tasks.
- Negotiate contracts, manage budgets, and ensure that work is completed within agreed timelines and quality standards.
- Review and approve invoices related to maintenance activities.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Ensure that all maintenance activities comply with relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and compliance reports.
- Budget Management:
- Prepare and manage the maintenance budget, including forecasting costs for repairs, replacements, and upgrades.
- Monitor expenditures and seek cost-effective solutions without compromising on quality.
- Report on budget performance and identify areas for cost savings.
- Inventory Management:
- Maintain an inventory of tools, parts, and supplies necessary for maintenance activities.
- Ensure that critical spare parts are available and reordering is done in a timely manner.
- Optimize inventory levels to reduce costs and prevent downtime.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for improving maintenance processes and implementing best practices.
- Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and advancements in maintenance management.
- Implement energy-saving initiatives and sustainable maintenance practices where applicable.
- Emergency Response:
- Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests and coordinate the resolution of issues.
- Develop and implement contingency plans for critical system failures or other emergencies.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, facilities management, or a related field preferred.
- Experience: 2-3 years of experience in maintenance management, with a proven track record in supervising teams and managing facilities.
- Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of building systems (electrical, etc.) and maintenance procedures.
- Leadership: Experience in team management, with the ability to motivate and lead a diverse workforce.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle complex maintenance issues.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with vendors, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
- Safety Awareness: Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in maintenance management.
Work Environment:
- May require working in various settings, including office environments, mechanical rooms, and outdoor facilities.
- Must be able to respond to emergency situations and work outside of regular business hours if needed.
- Requires physical stamina to inspect equipment, access difficult areas, and perform hands-on maintenance tasks.
