The successful candidate shall work closely with the Director， CEO and CFO to drive the Group’s financial planning and strategy. The person shall ensure strong accounting and reporting throughout the Group, including overseeing and monitoring an effective control environment and providing strategic information and advice to the Management.
The position requires the person to be proficient and competent on:
- Preparation of Financial Reports, budgets, forecasts and financial and cost analysis in a timely manner
- Group Consolidated Accounts, prepared in accordance to SFRS or iFRS.
- Providing in-depth analyses and advice to top management on financial matters relating to business transactions
- Regional experiences with the US, China, and Japan
- Knowledge of software, hardware, sensors, and intellectual property (IP) is an advantage
- Knowledge of ESOP is an advantage
- Compliance with Corporate Income Tax, Withholding Tax, GST and Transfer Pricing Requirements
- Coordination with Group on finances, treasury, and financial and taxation planning
- Internal control systems and procedures
- Coordination and liaison with company secretary, external auditors and taxation agents
- Managing a team of accounting personnel
Pre-requisites for the Position:
- Recognised university degree in Accounting and a member of a recognized accounting body ICSA, ACCA, ACA or equivalent;
- Chartered Accountant (CA) designation is a must.
- Minimum 10 years of all-round experience in a senior management position heading an accounting team in performing the aforesaid functions in a cross-border group of companies.
- Possesses business acumen and self-initiative and motivation;
- Ability and confidence to relate with professionals in the accounting/auditing, finance and legal fields.
- Demonstrates high standards of character, integrity and confidentiality.
