Job Summary
SG Cares Volunteer Centre (VC) @ Jurong role is to build volunteer management capabilities, grow & coordinate volunteer supply and broker partnerships with stakeholders in Jurong town. Specifically, the role of the Volunteer Executive is to engage community partners, local grassroot organisations, schools, social service agencies etc to identify the needs and gaps in Jurong town and co-create opportunities to fill these needs and gaps. Your role will include volunteer management in Tasek as well.
Job Specifications
● Grow volunteer pool through various types of outreach
methods - physical, social media etc
● Engage community partners such as local grassroot
organisations, schools, social service agencies and community
groups for outreach activities to identify volunteering needs and
gaps in Jurong town
● Adhere to volunteer management processes to recruit, onboard
and deploy volunteers who are interested in any volunteering
opportunity
● Document important data such as number of volunteers,
volunteering hours etc to help the team to review the
effectiveness of current practices in building a volunteering
culture
● Maintain a database of volunteers to ensure proper recognition
of their contributions during our annual Volunteer Appreciation
event
● Engage and understand the interests of volunteer groups(e.g.
schools, ground-up groups etc) to link them to the volunteering
opportunities in Jurong town
● Co-create events / activities with community partners with or
without volunteer groups to meet the needs and gaps of the
town.
● Manage and maintain records of volunteer groups, partnerships
and build a repository of community resources within the town.
● Leverage partners’ existing training programmes to coordinate
volunteer training and development
Technical Competencies:
A bachelor’s degree or diploma (related discipline will be an advantage).
Core Competencies:
● Excellent stakeholder management skills and proactive in
engaging diverse stakeholders from the public and private
sectors, volunteers and residents
● Detail-oriented with excellent planning and coordination skills
● Strong written, communication, presentation and interpersonal
skills
● Strong organisational and administrative skills
● Proficient in MS Office and Canva
● Proficient in managing data on Excel

- Experience in working with volunteers, volunteer groups, community
- Self-motivated, pleasant and resourceful
- Willing to work one weekend (5-day work week) when required
