Looking for a skilled skilled AS400 Engineer with extensive experience in the Silverlake Banking System to join our project team
Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the AS400 system, including hardware, software, and related peripherals.
- Perform regular system upgrades, patches, and performance tuning to ensure optimal system performance.
- Monitor system health, identify potential issues, and implement proactive solutions to prevent downtime.
- Provide expert-level support for the Silverlake Banking System, including configuration, troubleshooting, and optimization.
- Collaborate with the banking operations team to ensure the Silverlake system meets business needs and operates efficiently.
- Lead or assist in the implementation of new modules and features within the Silverlake system.
- Develop and maintain custom programs and scripts to support the integration of the Silverlake system with other banking applications.
- Work with third-party vendors and internal teams to implement new technologies and solutions on the AS400 platform.
- Ensure all integrations and customizations align with industry best practices and security standards.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of experience working with AS400 systems in a banking or financial services environment.
- In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with the Silverlake Banking System.
- Proven track record of managing and optimizing AS400 environments
- Strong technical skills in AS400 system administration, including CL, RPG, and COBOL programming languages.
- Proficiency in Silverlake Banking System modules, including configuration, troubleshooting, and support.
- Strong understanding of banking operations and regulatory requirements.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with other core banking systems or financial software.
- Familiarity with modern banking technologies, such as APIs, cloud computing, and mobile banking solutions.
