Our client, an international trading house, is looking for a Chartering Manager. The ideal candidate should have both operations and chartering experience, with a preference for those who have managed agricommodities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of voyage chartering, including operations
- Negotiation of terms and conditions to secure competitive pricing
- Monitor and analyse market trends to identify opportunities and potential risks within the chartering landscape
- Oversee post-fixture operations
- Prepare and review Charter Party, rider, and addendum when required
- Manage laytime calculations and demurrage/dispatch claims
- Assist in the development of strategic plans to enhance chartering efficiency and support overall business objectives
Key Requirements:
- Minimum 6 years of experience in chartering, preferably within the commodity trading sector
- Strong negotiation skills and a thorough understanding of chartering contracts and maritime regulations
- Excellent analytical and problem solving abilities, and able to resolve disputes arising from operations
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills across different stakeholders/countries
