Community Outreach, Engagement and Partnerships Executive

Job Title: Community Outreach, Engagement and Partnerships Executive

Growthbeans is a social enterprise that focuses on creating safe spaces for self-discovery and to connect people together for inclusivity, wellbeing and employability. The Community Outreach, Engagement and Partnerships team is essential for the continuous impact of the work we do.

In this role, the community engagement executive will manage engagement projects from inception to completion. This includes planning and implementing various activities and programs that aim to engage, inform, educate, or empower the Growthbeans community members. These may include events, workshops, campaigns, surveys, consultations, or partnerships. In order to execute projects, the individual is required to work on some evenings and/or on weekends.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

The community engagement executive will work with the management team in the following areas:


1. Operations Management

- Attend to public enquiries, information and referrals

- Documentation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), process flows, and other operational materials

- Management and maintenance of database system

- Liaise with vendor for events and other activities

- Create regular events on various online platforms

- Plan and coordinate with various stakeholders to ensure successful rollout of events

- Provide general day to day administrative support

- Ensure all records are updated promptly

- Liaise with 3rd party for data reporting

- Provide support to volunteer management and community engagement lead

- Provide onsite support at events and workshops


2. Volunteer management

- Assist in monitoring and scheduling of events

- Record participants and volunteers’ involvement in corporate/community events, training and activities

- Follow up with participants and volunteers to close up any communication/ training gaps

- Attend to enquiries from volunteers and other stakeholders

- Work closely with volunteer groups in organizing and executing events/activities

- Organise half yearly Volunteer Appreciation Day


3. Community Engagement

- Design, plan and execute monthly engagement events that align with company's objectives

- Communicate updates and events to the community using suitable channels (i.e. newsletter, whatsapp, etc)

- Work with marketing team to create and design suitable marketing materials for outreach programmes

- Reach out to speakers and leaders for speaking engagement


4. Community Partnership

- Reach out to different partners to ensure funded projects achieve its KPI

- Track and share metrics of projects and progress


5. Other duties

- Provide facilitation support for activities/events/ training programmes

- Other duties as assigned by management team


Requirements

Education - Diploma/Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, Social Work, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications in community relations or nonprofit management are a plus.


Experience - Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in community outreach, engagement, partnership development, or a similar role.


Skills -

  • Strong understanding of community engagement strategies and partnership development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proven project management skills, with the ability to plan, execute, and evaluate community programs and initiatives.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and social media platforms.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
