As an Analytics Engineer on the Data team, you will help drive Grasshopper's data-driven decision making culture with your strong background in data analytics on our self-serving BI platform. You will be the bridge between non-tech stakeholders and engineers, simplifying complex business problems into essential, actionable items with a high level of collaboration.
As a key member of the Data team, you'll:
- Recognise common analytical problems in financial trading and design reusable self-served data models to speed up data queries, reporting and dashboarding processes.
- Work closely with business stakeholders to:Address root business problems and advise them with proper data models to solve it.
- Propose / design dashboards to assist with decision-making processes.
Ensure data reliability of these data models / dashboards. - Help data engineers get a better understanding of business operations.
- Address bottlenecks and improve the current analytic workflows.
We'd love for you to have:
- At least 3 years of experience in analysing and transforming data with SQL
- Hands on experience with at least one BI Platform: i.e Looker, Tableau, Power-BI
- Experience with Python and awareness of basic SWE best practices
- Good story telling skills, using data and visualisation
- The ability to communicate with stakeholders of all levels
Nice to have:
- Hands on experience with data transformation frameworks (dbt, Databricks)
- Hands on experience with cloud-based data warehouses (i.e BigQuery, Redshift, Clickhouse)
