Job Description:
• To ensure the accurate and efficient recording of receipt and issuance of all goods and inventory within the warehouse.
• Compares inventories to office records or computes figures from records, such as sales orders, production records, or purchase invoices to obtain current inventory.
• Verifies clerical computations against physical count of stock and adjusts errors in computation or count, or investigates and reports reasons for discrepancies.
• Compiles information on receipt or disbursement of merchandise and computes inventory balance, price, and cost.
• Prepares reports, such as inventory balance, price lists, and shortages.
• Ensure that cycle count procedures are properly followed at each location and that results are recorded, tracked and reported in a timely manner.
• Oversee physical inventory counts as required, including coordination with external auditors and warehouse personnel.
• Maintain schedules of damaged, lost and obsolete inventory and ensure appropriate reserves are recorded.
• Reconcile period-end inventory balances to the general ledger and ensure reconciliation is appropriately documented.
• Implement process improvements as needed.
• Be prepared to be assigned to any other assignments relative to the position within the organization.
Requirements:
• Diploma or Degree in Accounting or equivalent.
• At least 2 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
• Experience in manufacturing industry is an advantage.
• Familiar with warehousing duties and use of warehouse management systems.
