A Research Associate position is currently available in the School of Humanities.
The Digital Humanities Research Cluster is part of NTU’s College of Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences (COHASS) which focus on the exploration and use of digital tools and technology to explore humanistic questions and approaches.
The potential candidate will assist the PI in the Polyglot Medicine Digital Humanities project for 3 months.
Key Responsibilities:
- Align medieval drug name data for text-tagging
- Formulate and improve technical aspects of DocuSky
- Conduct integrity testing and data processing
- Develop and test data alignment with the Polyglot Medicine data
- Handle other relevant tasks needed to enhance user experience (UX)
Job Requirements:
- Master’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
- At least 2 years of experience in web development for Digital Humanities projects
- Technical expertise and experience in utilizing the DocuSky web platform
- Organizational, team work and communication skills
- Fluent in English and Chinese is essential to conduct research analyse data
