Additional job description
As a Rapid Response Lead on the YouTube Trust and Safety team, you will be responsible for ensuring that our Policies are enforced, including from the point of identification of possible violation, to removal and appeals. You will work with cross-functional teams to provide YouTube’s response to emerging escalations.

Job responsibilities
- Lead the incident management program for YouTube APAC, including people management of the Rapid Response Managers and Policy Escalation Specialists team.
- Manage policy escalations from start to finish, driving consensus across all stakeholders and developing postmortems to ensure preventative solutions are put in place.
- Become subject matter expert on YouTube’s Community Guidelines, manage related escalations, and drive policy and process improvements across a growing number of policy areas (Hate/Harassment, Misinformation, Drugs, Adult, Weapons).
- Review graphic, controversial, and sometimes offensive video content in line with YouTube’s Community Guidelines and YouTube Partner Program Sensitive policies.
- Work non-standard, on-call weekend and holiday hours to provide timely coverage.
Minimum qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 13 years of experience in data analytics, cybersecurity, program management, business strategy, technology research, anti-abuse, policy, trust and safety or related fields.
- 2 years of experience in people management, leading teams.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience in people management, including managing managers.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, rapidly-changing industry and manage ambiguity while seeking to minimize uncertainty through quantitative insights.
- Ability to communicate in a native language other than English to review content and manage escalations for the specific language and market.
- Excellent strategic and analysis skills, with the ability to lead a team to frame problems, structure analyses, and drive to impact.
- Excellent communication skills to drive consensus across stakeholders.
