Job Description
As an Infra Tech Support Practitioner, you will provide ongoing technical support and maintenance for production and development systems and software products. Your role will encompass remote and onsite support, configuring services on various platforms, and ensuring system reliability and performance. You will troubleshoot issues at the L1 and L2 levels and work towards becoming a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in your field.
Key Responsibilities:
• Technical Support & Maintenance:
o Provide hardware/software support and implement technology at the operating system level across server and network areas.
o Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve system issues, including RHEL systems and container technologies such as OpenShift.
• System Administration:
o Implement, administer, and troubleshoot RHEL systems.
o Keep operating systems, databases, and software updates current across all servers.
o Maintain operational and configuration documents up to date.
• Performance & Reliability:
o Develop innovative solutions to enhance system performance and reliability.
o Perform periodic performance reporting and conduct regular system audits to identify areas for improvement.
o Perform disaster recovery operations when required.
• Security & Compliance:
o Review security vulnerability reports and remediate issues.
o Support and administer systems in line with IT security policies.
• Collaboration & Innovation:
o Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement new technologies.
o Actively participate in team discussions and provide solutions to work-related problems.
o Stay up to date with industry trends and advancements in IT infrastructure.
o Provide training and support to end-users as needed.
o Quickly learn new or unfamiliar technology and products using documentation and internet resources.
• Skills:
o Advanced proficiency in IT Infrastructure Operations.
o Strong understanding of server architectures, server operating systems, and infrastructure event management.
o Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
o Automation and database skills are an advantage.
