Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Java Developer with extensive experience in the banking sector. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing, developing, and implementing microservices and RESTful APIs using Java and Spring Boot. The candidate must demonstrate expertise in integrating third-party APIs, optimizing application performance, and ensuring adherence to industry best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement microservices and RESTful APIs using Java and Spring Boot.
- Integrate third-party APIs into existing applications using JSON and XML protocols.
- Work closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Designers, and front-end developers to translate requirements into technical solutions.
- Participate in the estimation, planning, and prioritization of development tasks.
- Conduct code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
- Optimize application performance and database queries for efficiency and scalability.
- Debug existing codebase issues and identify potential security vulnerabilities.
- Set up and manage automated CI/CD pipelines, ensuring seamless integration, testing, deployment, monitoring, and rollback mechanisms.
- Ensure adherence to Technology policies, procedures, and regulatory guidance.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5-10 years of experience in Java development, with a strong focus on Spring Boot and microservices architecture.
- Proven experience in the banking sector, particularly in developing core banking solutions and digital products.
- Strong knowledge of databases such as MySQL and Oracle, with experience in query optimization.
- Experience with Kafka, API Gateway, and other related technologies.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to debug complex issues and optimize system performance.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with WSO2 API Gateway or similar API management tools.
- Familiarity with Node.js and its application in backend services.
- Knowledge of Backbase Framework for developing user management and data visualization services.
