We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Azure Cloud Data Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in designing, building, and maintaining cloud-based data solutions utilising Azure cloud technologies. The Data Engineer will be responsible for designing and implementing data pipelines, ensuring data accuracy and quality, performing data modelling, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable and reliable solutions.
Job Descriptions:
- Design and implement data pipelines to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into Azure cloud-based data warehouses and data lakes.
- Develop and maintain data integration workflows using Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure Stream Analytics, and other Azure services.
- Implement data quality checks and monitor data pipelines for accuracy and completeness.
- Perform data modelling to support business requirements and ensure scalability and performance of data solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and develop data solutions that meet their needs.
- Optimise data storage and processing for performance and cost-effectiveness.
- Maintain documentation of data pipelines, data sources, and data models.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and new Azure cloud-based data technologies to continuously improve data engineering processes and solutions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- At least 1-2 years of experience in designing and building cloud-based data solutions using Azure cloud technologies.
- Experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure Data Warehouses, and Azure Synapse.
- Strong knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Experience in data modelling and data architecture.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Experience with agile software development methodologies.
Experience with other cloud platforms such as AWS or Google Cloud Platform is a plus.
