Principal Change Management Specialist

The Principal Change Specialist is a highly skilled subject matter expert, responsible for supporting strategic and transformational change management initiatives within the organization.

The primary responsibility of this role is to plan and drive the execution of change management initiatives activities and programs, thereby increasing employee adoption and usage.

This role may provide coaching to less experienced Change Management Specialists.


  • Key Responsibilities:Supports and inputs into a proven industry standard digital change management model that drives best practice to amplify the effectiveness of strategy execution.
    Communicates with business leaders and project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure awareness of best practice and application of the Change Management model.
    Makes recommendations to support change and adoption.
    Understands and anticipates the direction of the business area(s)/unit(s), identifies opportunities, and makes recommendations to support change and adoption.
    Demonstrates understanding of the Change and Enablement approach and deliverables.
    Responsible for the regional support of the Change Management and Enablement function, creating and executing on plans and reporting on activities in the required forums.
    Adopts best practices, developing, and sustaining cross functional relationships.
    Acts as a change agent and enables communication between business, clients, and other relevant stakeholders.
    Deploys change management solutions and track program effectiveness in line with defined success criteria.
    Proactively aligns and secures change management engagement for strategic digital projects.
    Supports faster adoption, higher ultimate utilization and greater proficiency of the digital changes that impact people in the organization to increase benefit realization, value creation, ROI and the achievement of results and outcomes.
    Quantifies the progress of digital change management and transformation initiatives.
    Provides mentorship and guidance to less experienced Change Management Specialists.
    Performs any other related task as required.
    Knowledge and Attributes:Displays drive and is a champion of change.
    Excellent ability to drive continuous improvement and innovation.
    Excellent understanding of Enterprise level tools, systems, processes and business operations.
    Excellent knowledge of industry, trends and best practices in change management.
    Excellent verbal and written communication skills and display the required interpersonal skills to interact with a variety of stakeholders.
    Demonstrate strategic thinking ability.
    Resilient, able to approach problems from different angles and identify the most adequate solutions.
    Ability to influence others and move toward a common vision or goal.
    Flexible and adaptable; able to work in ambiguous situations.
    Resilient and tenacious with a propensity to persevere.

  • Academic Qualifications and Certifications:Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Information Technology or Business Management or related field.
    Requirement for a formal industry recognized change management certification.
    Required Experience:
  • 8+ years of experience in change management, technology adoption within a large-scale multinational technology services environment.
    Extended experience and knowledge of change management principles, methodologies and tools.
    Extended experience mentoring and guiding team(s) in Change Management initiatives, processes, tools.
    Extended hands-on experience in driving adoption projects / programs for a large organization.
