Programme Executive

Reporting the Manager, you will develop and provide key support for the Society’s Prostate Cancer Survivorship Programme and New Voice Club Support Group (Head & Neck Cancer).


You will provide administrative support and programme coordination for Walnut Warrior Support Group and New Voice Club Support Group. In addition, you will have secretariat duties for Prostate Cancer Advisory Committee and New Voice Club Advisory Committee.


You will be expected to work with multiple stakeholders, such as healthcare professionals from public and private hospitals, pharmaceutical companies dealing with patient engagement and advocacy, other nonprofit organisation such as Movember Foundation (Australia).


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Plan and execute monthly prostate and, head and neck cancer support group talks and activities.
  2. Liaise with different speakers and schedule them accordingly.
  3. Organize outings and workshops, coordinating all related logistics to ensure smooth execution of each activity.
  4. Design simple electronic direct mailers (eDM)
  5. Email blast eDMs and post them on the respective support groups on Workplace.
  6. Actively participate in various community outreach functions related to support groups.
  7. Co-develop strategies in leading how to expand reach of programme and ensure delivery of programme results within constraints of schedule, budget and resources.
  8. Manage and maintain records of support group members and programme attendance.
  9. Collaborate with the support group committee to manage and co-organize meetings, events, and initiatives, ensuring effective communication, addressing issues, and support the group's goals and objectives.
  10. Maintain rapport and relationships with support group members to ensure ongoing engagement, foster a sense of community, and encourage active participation in group activities. This involves regular communication, addressing concerns, and providing support to create a welcoming and inclusive environment.
  11. Work with the finance department to process procurement and payment administration. Manage expenses within the budget provided.
  12. Prepare and support monthly statistical reports, annual budget and other relevant reports for submission.
  13. Other administrative duties include programme scheduling updates, members’ recruitment process, yearly committee listing.

Criteria:

  • Diploma in a related field of study
  • At least 3-5 years’ experience in a similar function
  • Possesses prior experience in volunteer management, plannng, stakeholder management will be an advantage
  • Passionate to work with older adults, cancer patients and survivors
  • Display proactiveness, enjoy connecting communities and developing the ecosystem
  • Strong language skills with a second language will be helpful
