Senior Data Engineer (Informatica + BAU Operations)
Job Summary:
As a Senior Data Engineer with a focus on Informatica and BAU operations, you will play a critical role in managing and optimizing our data infrastructure. You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of data pipelines, troubleshooting data-related issues, and implementing enhancements to improve data processes. Your expertise in Informatica will be crucial for developing and maintaining ETL processes and ensuring data integrity across our systems.
Job Requirement:
- 5 years of experience as a Data Engineer, with a strong focus on Informatica ETL tools and BAU Operations.
- Proficiency in SQL, ETL design and implementation, data warehousing concepts, and database management systems. Familiarity with other data tools and technologies.
- Good to have experience with cloud-based data platforms.
- Familiarity with data modeling and big data technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Pipeline Management: Design, develop, and maintain robust ETL processes using Informatica. Ensure data pipelines are reliable, scalable, and performant.
- BAU Operations: Oversee day-to-day operations of data systems, including monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolving issues. Ensure that data systems are operational and meet performance standards.
- Data Integration: Work with stakeholders to understand data requirements and integrate data from various sources into the data warehouse or data lake. Ensure data quality and consistency.
- Performance Tuning: Optimize ETL processes and database queries to improve performance and reduce processing times.
- Collaboration: Work closely with data architects, data analysts, and other engineering teams to align data solutions with business needs. Provide technical guidance and support for data-related projects.
- Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for data processes, workflows, and system configurations.
- Compliance & Security: Ensure that data handling complies with relevant data protection regulations and internal security policies.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance data management and operational efficiency.
