We are now seeking a talented and experienced Regional Supply Chain Manager to join our team in Singapore, to lead and optimize our supply chain operations throughout the regions.


Job Purpose:
The Regional Supply Chain Manager at GME Chemicals will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing supply chain processes, including logistics, warehouse management, transportation, and export activities. This role requires a strategic leader who can manage the entire supply chain from suppliers to customers, ensuring efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and high-quality service delivery. The successful candidate will also develop risk management strategies and maintain compliance with relevant laws and standards.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic Planning and Coordination:
    • Develop and implement comprehensive supply chain strategies to support business objectives and growth plans.
    • Oversee and optimize logistics and warehouse operations, ensuring efficient flow from order processing to final delivery.
    • Create and implement risk management strategies to ensure business continuity and minimize supply chain disruptions.
  2. Service Providers, Suppliers, and Stakeholder Interaction:
    • Lead sourcing efforts for contractors and suppliers, supporting ongoing and new projects with strategic procurement.
    • Collaborate with internal departments to align logistics operations with overall business needs and enhance efficiency.
    • Negotiate with suppliers and service providers, conducting RFQs to ensure competitive pricing and high service quality.
    • Build and sustain strong relationships with key business partners and stakeholders to support operational success.
  3. Inventory and Quality Control:
    • Monitor and manage inventory levels, quality, delivery schedules, and transport costs to maintain efficiency.
    • Address and resolve any issues or complaints related to logistics operations and ensure customer satisfaction.
  4. Team Supervision and Training:
    • Lead, coach, and develop the supply chain team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
    • Identify and coordinate relevant training and development opportunities for team members.
    • Ensure the team meets performance targets, including cost control, productivity, accuracy, and timeliness.
  5. Data Analysis and Compliance:
    • Maintain and analyse supply chain metrics to assess performance and identify areas for improvement.
    • Ensure compliance with local and international regulations, industry standards, and ISO requirements.
    • Streamline processes and systems to enhance operational efficiency and add value to the business.
    • Uphold safety standards in all warehouse operations and develop contingency plans for crisis management (e.g., pandemics).

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Supply Chain or Logistics Manager, with a demonstrated record of success.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and develop a high-performing team.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills, capable of building effective relationships with various stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with the ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
  • In-depth knowledge of supply chain processes, logistics, and best practices.
