We are seeking an experienced and visionary IT Director to lead and manage our organization's technology infrastructure and strategy. The IT Director will be responsible for overseeing the planning, implementation, and maintenance of IT systems, ensuring they align with the company’s business objectives. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills, capable of driving technological innovation and ensuring operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Planning and Execution:
- Develop and implement the IT strategy in alignment with the organization's goals and objectives.
- Lead the evaluation, selection, and deployment of IT systems and solutions.
- Stay current with industry trends and technologies to ensure the organization remains competitive.
2. Leadership and Management:
- Manage and mentor the IT team, including system administrators, network engineers, and support staff.
- Oversee departmental budgeting, including capital and operational expenditures.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development within the IT department.
3. IT Infrastructure and Operations:
- Ensure the reliability, security, and performance of IT systems, including servers, networks, and databases.
- Develop and enforce IT policies and procedures to ensure effective data management and cybersecurity.
- Manage vendor relationships and oversee the procurement of IT equipment and services.
4. Project Management:
- Lead IT projects from initiation through completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.
- Coordinate with other departments to understand their technology needs and provide solutions that enhance productivity and efficiency.
5. Security and Compliance:
- Implement and maintain robust cybersecurity measures to protect the organization’s data and IT assets.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, etc.).
- Conduct regular risk assessments and disaster recovery planning.
6. Support and Troubleshooting:
- Oversee the IT support function, ensuring timely resolution of technical issues and user support requests.
- Develop and maintain a knowledge base for common IT problems and solutions.
7. Innovation and Improvement:
- Identify and recommend technological improvements that can enhance business processes and drive growth.
- Lead the adoption of emerging technologies and best practices.
Skills & Qualifications:
· Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred.
· Experience: Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in IT management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
· Proven experience in IT infrastructure management, project management, and strategic planning.
· Strong leadership and team management abilities.
· Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
· In-depth knowledge of IT systems, networks, and security.
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
· Experience with budget management and vendor negotiation.
