This position will be the dedicated Compensation & Benefits resource supporting our International Developmental Licensed Segment (Asia, EMEA and Latin America Business Units) as well as our Corporate Function employees located in our Dubai, Hong Kong, and Singapore Corporate offices. This role will be responsible for local design and the day-to-day analysis, evaluation, execution, and communication of programs and policies related to compensation and benefits. The Rewards Lead will work cross-functionally with HR Business Partners, Business Unit Leaders and Global Total Rewards (GTR) to ensure competitive Rewards offerings for the IDL organization and employees in the Asia, Latin America and EMEA regions.
Responsibilities:
- Provide regional support to HR as it pertains to Rewards throughout the waved implementation of a new global Human Capital Management system, Global People Transformation initiative and opening of a Shared Services capability centre
- Participate annually in local salary surveys to ensure base pay and allowances are properly benchmarked and competitive
- Evaluate new roles for adherence to McDonald’s global job levelling criteria using Mercer’s IPE (International Position Evaluation) Tool
- Market price positions at all levels of the organization utilizing external market data and internal position comparisons to develop and maintain salary range structures by country
- Support IDL segment/business units and corporate functions by preparing local compensation recommendations to facilitate promotions, demotions, international transfers, and lateral job changes
- Act as the IDL focal for the Annual Compensation Cycle, providing input into local country merit budgets and merit planning guidelines, educating managers on the process and timeline, reviewing planned merit, bonus and equity recommendations, providing rollup reporting to IDL Business Leaders and HRBPs, and facilitating BU calibrations
- Act as the IDL lead and country focal for annual Pay Equity analysis, reporting, and remediation
- Annually, or as needed, review and benchmark Benefit & Wellness offerings, providing HRBPs and GTR with recommendations for local changes/enhancements to external ensure market competitiveness
- Conduct ad-hoc analysis as needed to support data driven decision making
- Partner with other Total Rewards team members to develop education/communication materials on compensation fundamentals and identify opportunities to streamline, standardize and enhance existing processes
