Responsibilities:
- Develop and Implement Security Policies: Design, implement, and maintain security protocols, policies, and procedures to protect network systems.
- Network Security Monitoring: Monitor network traffic for unusual activity, identify potential threats, and respond to security incidents promptly.
- Threat Analysis and Risk Management: Identify, analyze, and mitigate potential security threats and vulnerabilities within the network. Firewall and Security Systems Management: Configure, maintain, and upgrade firewalls, VPNs, and other security appliances to ensure network security.
- Incident Response and Investigation: Lead incident response efforts by coordinating with IT teams to investigate security breaches and contain threats.
- Network Architecture and Design: Lead the design and implementation of secure network architectures to support business operations.
- Lead and mentor a team of network security professionals, providing guidance and support in their professional development.
Qualifications:
- Tertiary qualifications in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- Proven experience in network security roles, preferably within the tech or applications industry.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, security tools, and technologies.
- Experience with cloud security and operating systems.
