Job Responsibilities:
- Provide support and execute health and safety plans in the workplace according to legal guidelines
- Conduct safety timeout to share best practice techniques; training and presentations for health and safety matters and accident prevention
- Build partnership and collaboration and educate stakeholders to promote safety and compliance.
- Enforce preventive measures.
- Support and investigate incident and accident for root cause and recommended practical measures to prevent occurrence
- Inspect equipment and machinery to observe possible unsafe conditions
- Inspect and check vehicles through mobile patrol to remove unsafe and dangerous vehicles and drivers from the road
- Inspect premises and the work of personnel to identify WSH issues or non-conformity
- Prepare report on occurrences and provide statistical information to upper management
- Provide support, maintain and prepare for renew bizSAFE STAR certification
- Maintain and conduct internal audit for ISO 45001 certification
- Provide technical support for audits and incident investigations
- Maintain legal compliance register and update management on regulatory changes
- Recommend solutions to issues, improvement opportunities or new prevention measures
- Provide Fire Safety Management duties
Job Requirements:
- Minimum education with Degree or Diploma in Engineering (e.g Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering) or Occupational Health and Safety or related field.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as Registered WSHO and FSM certified is an added advantage
- Good safety mindset and conversant with local Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) regulations, WSH Act and its subsidiary legislations, and practices.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Experience in managing compliance issues, regulatory reviews, permit preparation, reporting and record keeping.
- Good communication skills, team player, responsible and take initiatives.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
