Job Description:
・Oversee all HR related matters and policies, closely liaising with JERA HQ (Japan) to lead the rolling out of global HR initiatives and programmes.
・As the Head of HR, responsible for building and managing the HR team, policies and systems of the company, such as performance management, talent acquisition, employee engagement, compensation, welfare and benefits, training and development. This also includes managing secondee transfers, statutory compliance work, improving guidelines & manuals, as well as improving the HR reporting process to JERA HQ.
・Partner with the management teams to determine the long-term HR growth strategy and objectives of the company. The role also requires to manage and control the company’s HR budget aligned with the overall business strategy.
・Work closely with department team leaders across JERA Group to create scalable solutions for employee career advancement, and establish a culture of learning and continuous feedback by developing programs, tools, trainings and experiences that engage employees at all levels.
・Review staff evaluations and build/ utilize a data-driven approach to identify trends and recommend proactive solutions for staff performance, retention, and engagement.
・Provide strategic advice and guidance to the Chief Administration Officer and the senior management team on all HR general practices, to ensure the company is in compliance, has the right talent, processes/systems, and policies necessary to support JERA’s strategic and financial goals. This role also includes providing logical and persuasive explanations to JERA HQ on the progress of the company's HR-related activities.
・Support the company in building and standardizing all HR-related activities across JERA Group and report regularly on the status to JERA HQ. The position is expected to optimize and take lead of organizational and HR operations in the Asia-Oceania region based on the situation and good practices in other regions of the world, as well as advise from headquarters.
・Build and maintain meaningful relationships with educational institutions, vendors, and related stakeholders to ensure continuity of recruitment channels and continuously nurture young talents.
・Build trust with employees across all layers of the organization and be an active listener and effective problem solver on all sensitive and complex HR-related matters.
Requirements:
・10+ years of experience in the HR department of which at least 10 years of recent experience in the energy or relating industry.
・At least 10 years of experience in formulating and managing HR policies, strategy, budget and objectives in the HR department of ・Extensive knowledge on general HR practices, including recruitment, secondment transfers, compensation, benefits and organizational development, employment law and trade/ labor union matters in a company operating globally. the head office managing several overseas subsidiaries.
・Proven leadership, communication, and influencing skills to motivate and retain current talents, and relationship building skills with external stakeholders to attract the right placements in the company.
・Strong conflict handling skills and excellent judgement and discretion to affectively address sensitive HR and business issues at a group level of an organisation.
