The candidate’s responsibilities will be to:
- Provide case management and counselling services to clients and their families.
- Assess needs of clients and formulate Individual Service Plans (ISPs).
- Provide Information & Referral (I&R) to link clients and their families to
appropriate services.
- Ensure that the halfway house’s programme meets the mission, objectives and procedures of case management services.
- Conduct classes, family sessions, and group sessions.
- Liaise with clients, clients’ families, counsellors and prison officers.
- To work with the related partners and government bodies where necessary.
- Attend to clients’ employment needs and conduct worksite visits.
- Upkeep clients’ documents, case/counselling notes and individual case files.
Candidate Requirements:
1) Technical Competencies:
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Good report writing skills.
- Able to meet deadlines.
- Administrative skills.
2) Core Competencies:
- Able to work independently and in a multidisciplinary team.
- Good interpersonal and communication (oral and written skills).
- Good knowledge about the community resources.
- Ability to work under stress.
- Pleasant disposition.
- Has passion to bring about change in someone’s life.
Preferred achievements/characteristics:
- Preferably a Degree in Social Work or Psychology.
- Preferably 2 years of experience in Social Service Sector or related field
(Fresh graduates are welcome to apply).
- Willing to work in a faith-based residential programme halfway house.
