Job Description:
This is a full time role for an Customer Service Manager (Sea Operation) located in Bt Merah. Our client engages in logistics services, real estate development and leasing, and a range of services and you will be responsible involve managing ocean freight operations, including NVOCC, sea export/import, and logistics, while resolving any issues that arise. It requires leading a team, ensuring customer satisfaction, and implementing process improvements. The role also involves building relationships with shipping lines, negotiating vendor terms, and ensuring regulatory compliance. Key tasks include monitoring shipments, handling customer inquiries, supporting business development, preparing invoices, and reporting to upper management. Additionally, the role includes executing any tasks assigned by the Managing Director.
Qualifications:
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years experience in sea operations within the freight forwarding industry.
- Proven leadership and team management skills.
- Strong understanding of sea export, sea import, warehousing, and trucking operations.
- Excellent negotiation skills and experience with vendor management.
- In-depth knowledge of customs requirements, import and export procedures, and international trade regulations.
- Proficiency in tracking and monitoring vessel movements.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and industry-specific software.
