About Our Client

They are currently seeking a Global Tax Manager to join their team. The Global Tax Manager will be responsible for driving business expansion into new territories and providing valuable advisory services and insights as the global lead for all tax matters within the organization.
Job Description
- Lead tax planning and strategy efforts to support market expansion, particularly in emerging markets including Africa and Europe.
- Advise on and implement optimized legal, contract, and tax structures for market entry, while managing and documenting associated tax governance and risks.
- Review and optimize business models related to tax solutions for both existing and new commercial arrangements, and develop mitigation strategies for tax risks.
- Oversee tax planning activities, including managing effective tax rates, transfer pricing policies, and tax issues in commercial transactions.
- Collaborate closely with finance, legal, HR, and commercial teams to advise on tax implications, such as employee share schemes, corporate restructuring, and withholding tax matters.
- Manage external tax agents to ensure compliance across the group with corporate tax, transfer pricing, GST, VAT, and other relevant taxes.
- Liaise with tax authorities on audits, and stay updated on tax developments and legislative changes that may impact the group.
- Provide expert tax advice on restructuring, mergers & acquisitions, and market entry strategies, coordinating with external advisors as needed.
- Actively seek and manage tax incentives that align with market development initiatives and oversee the reporting of existing incentives.
The Successful Applicant
- 8+ years of tax experience, with a strong emphasis on new market entry and development.
- Previous experience in a Big 4 firm is highly beneficial, particularly with a focus on international tax and cross-border transactions.
- Excellent ability to convey complex tax concepts clearly and concisely to non-tax professionals.
- Demonstrated success in thriving within fast-paced, dynamic environments, with a strong sense of responsibility and ownership of projects.
- Excellent communication and facilitation skills.
