JOB PURPOSE
The Young Hearts (YH) Programme aims to give children and youth from lower-income families a leg-up in life and develop them into socially-responsible citizens via four key elements: Tuition, Enrichment Workshops, Outings and Mentorship. The success of the programme is hinged on the Community Engagement efforts to create brand awareness on the ground. The incumbent is responsible for enhancing and expanding the programme in order to better serve children and youth from lower-income families islandwide, such as those residing in rental flats.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

1. Programme Development and Innovation

1.1 Ideate, develop, and test new programme elements in consultation with Management and tutors to meet the needs of children from lower-income families
1.2 Spearhead landscape analysis to identify unique value proposition of YH offering
1.3 Conduct data gathering to assess needs of children from lower-income families to inform programming
1.4 Regularly recommend expansion and enhancement strategies to expand YH to other identified districts of Singapore
1.5 Ensure timely update of reports for various stakeholders whenever required

2.Operations
2.1 Coordinate and execute the programme elements to increase brand awareness for the organisation
2.2 Spearhead regular impact measurement and evaluation process
2.3 Supervise various centres (Yishun and Tampines) to ensure proper maintenance centres and day-to-day conduct of programmes.

3.Stakeholders Management

3.1 Devise plans and strategies to:
●Ensure a steady flow of volunteers for all CR programme elements, by:
●Coordinating Enable regular volunteer recruitment, networking and appreciationsessions
●Encourage retention via matching of volunteers’ interest and expertise establish goodrelationship with them, and and provide constant feedback to uphold professionalismat all times
3.2 Initiate and attend meetings with corporate and community partners and maintain good relationships with them

3.3 Manage communications with parents, volunteers and other partners confidently and professionally


JOB SPECIFICATION

4.Qualification

4.1 Singaporeans and PRs only

4.2 2-4 years of experience in SSAs/charities and/or an educational background in nonprofitmanagement will be advantageous


5.Technical Competencies

5.1 Good command of spoken and written English

5.2 Computer literate


6.Desired Behaviour

6.1 Ability to manage teams in an agile manner

6.2 Willingness to work on weekends if required (Time-off provided)

6.3 Outgoing with a positive attitude; enjoys interacting with people from different demographics, especially children and youth

6.3 Self-motivated and proactive
