JOB PURPOSE
The Community Befriending Programme aims to reduce vulnerability and enhance resilience of isolated seniors via four key elements: Home Visits, Social Outings, Customised Care Packs and Referrals to various assistance schemes. The incumbent is responsible to enhance the programme in order to deepen our engagement for isolated seniors in Singapore.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

1. Programme Development and Innovation

1.1 Ideate, develop, and test new programme elements in consultation with Management to engage seniors to meet their needs
1.2 Spearhead landscape analysis to identify unique value proposition of EA offering
1.3 Conduct data gathering to assess needs of seniors to inform programming
1.4 Regularly recommend expansion and enhancement strategies to increase outreach to more isolated seniors in the community
1.5 Ensure timely update of reports for various stakeholders when required

2. Operations

2.1 Oversee the day-to-day operations and ensure smooth execution of the programme
2.2 Coordinate, execute and enhance the programme elements to increase brand awareness for the organisation
2.3 Confidently represent the seniors by referring them to the necessary services beyond the Community Befriending Programme
2.4 Other duties as assigned by Management.

3. Stakeholders Management

3.1 Devise plans and strategies to:
● Ensure a steady flow of volunteers for all CR programme elements Enable regular volunteer recruitment, networking and appreciation sessions
● Encourage retention via matching of volunteers’ interest and expertise establish good relationship with them, and provide constant feedback to uphold professionalism at all times
3.2 Attend meetings and maintain good relationships with corporate and community partners
3.3 Offer the organisation’s suite of services to community partners with senior beneficiaries who may be in need
3.3 Manage communications with the senior beneficiaries and their next-of-kin, if any, confidently and professionally


JOB SPECIFICATION

4. Qualification

4.1 Singaporeans and PRs only

4.2 2-4 years of experience in SSAs/charities and/or an educational background in nonprofit management/gerontology will be advantageous


5. Technical Competencies

5.1 Good command of spoken and written English

5.2 Computer literate


6. Desired Behaviour

6.1 Ability to lead teams in an agile manner

6.2 Willingness to work on weekends if required (Time-off provided)

6.3 Outgoing with a positive attitude; enjoys interacting with people from different demographics, especially seniors

6.3 Self-motivated and proactive
