Assistant Executive (BD Agency)

Job Description:-

1. Underwrite commercial and industrial risks in accordance with the Company’s underwriting guidelines and treaty terms;
2. Contribute to the annual underwriting strategy for Non-Marine business by supporting the Head of Department to achieve the projected premium and profitability targets;
3. Recommend to the Head of Department on risks beyond own authorized limit;
4. Plan and organize visitation to agents/clients;
5. Develop good relationship with agents/clients in order to achieve growth;
6. Analyze the premium portfolio for agents in order to achieve the target set;
7. Gather market information and business trend to gain competitive advantage against competitors and to disseminate information to the Department;
8. Prepare quotations to clients and agents in accordance with the Company’s underwriting guidelines;
9. Provide customer service to clients/agents on their enquiries regarding premium rates and policy conditions;
10. Conduct survey, if required;
11. Instruct Marketing Assistant to issue Temporary Cover Notes/Confirmation of Cover;
12. Assist in premium collection;
13. To review renewal business and make necessary adjustment to premium, terms and conditions;
14. Assist in the smooth running of daily policy/endorsement issuance by the Marketing Assistant including the systems operations;
15. Cover buddy’s duties in his/her absence.

Requirements:

1. Diploma/Degree holders, or related discipline;
2. Preferably with minimum 4 years working experience;
3. Must have at least have Certificate In General Insurance (CGI);
4. Willingness to learn and meticulous;
5. Possess good interpersonal and communications skills;
