Job Responsibilities.
- Supervise, co-ordinate and schedule the activities of workers who harvest, fabricate, process and package meat and seafood.
- Resolve work problems and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality
- Requisition tools and supplies for production staff
- Train staff in job duties, safety procedures, and company policy instructions from the immediate production manager.
- Prepare production reports
- Meat and seafood Portion cutting, trimming, mincing, making meat patties, and processing meat and seafood products through operating meat and seafood-cutting machinery.
- Ensure all meat and seafood are prepared fresh and is of the highest quality.
- Perform other related duties as assigned or as directed by the food production manager, who can assign duties that are logically related to the position.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area; ensure the cleanliness of equipment and tools; adhere to hygiene and safety standards.
- Assist in all meat preparation as instructed and ensure wastage is minimised.
- Collaborate with the team to meet production forecasts and adjust to last-minute changes, if any.
- Must able to commit weekends and public holiday.
Experience/Skills Required:
Essential:
- Computer Skills (Word and Outlook)
- Literacy
- Strong planning & organisational skills
- Strong communication, inter-personal and influencing skills
- Foodservice or food manufacturing experience.
- Able to manage 10 staff and below working under the meat and seafood department.
