The position will report to Senior Manager Risk Management & Sustainability and the role pertains to sustainability, which includes the following responsibilities:
- Work with initiative owners to promote sustainability culture and enhance SIAEC’s Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) practices and performance;
- Liaise with data owners and subsidiaries to track sustainability performance and progress of initiatives, as well as provide regular updates to the Sustainability Working Group (SWG), Management and the Board Sustainability Committee;
- Monitor sustainability trends and regulatory development, and ensure compliance with sustainability regulations, e.g. adopting International Sustainability Standards Board’s (ISSB) Standards;
- Lead the preparation of Sustainability Report (SR), including liaise with various parties within SIAEC, its subsidiaries, joint ventures and associated companies, as well as appointed consultant and design agency on the content, information, data and design;
- Coordinate with auditors and various parties within SIAEC and its subsidiaries for sustainability reporting internal audits and external assurances;
- Perform secretariat duties for SWG; and
- Carry out other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Good university degree, preferably in sustainability-related discipline (e.g. environmental engineering or equivalent); applicants with other relevant disciplines such as accounting can also apply for our consideration.
- Good analytical, logical thinking and writing skills, as well as strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Team player who is also able to work independently, with positive learning attitude
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office
- Experience in sustainability or audit background will be an advantage
