The Sustainable Energy Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing the planning, implementation, and management of renewable energy projects. This role requires a deep understanding of sustainable energy practices, strong project management skills, and the ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders to achieve project goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning: Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, timeline, budget, and resource allocation for sustainable energy initiatives.
Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal teams, government agencies, contractors, and community organizations to ensure project alignment and buy-in.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all projects adhere to local, state, and federal regulations regarding renewable energy and environmental sustainability.
Strategy and Policy Development: Contribute to the creation of sustainable energy strategies and action plans. Assist in the identification of policy gaps and opportunities for sustainable energy integration.
Financial Management: Monitor project budgets, manage financial resources, and prepare funding proposals and reports.
Risk Management: Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure successful project execution.
Technical Oversight: Work closely with engineering and technical teams to ensure the successful design and implementation of sustainable energy systems.
Monitoring and Evaluation: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure project success and report on progress to stakeholders.
Research and Development: Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices in sustainable energy to inform project planning and execution.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Maritime, Renewable Energy, Engineering, Project Management, or a related field
- Knowledge of maritime, renewable energy technologies and energy efficiency concepts are preferred.
- Understanding of sustainable energy technologies, policies, and market trends.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
