Job Summary:
The Logistics Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing the entire supply chain process within the company. This includes coordinating the storage, transportation, and distribution of products to ensure timely and efficient delivery to our outlets, partners, and customers. The role requires close collaboration with suppliers, warehouse staff, and other departments to ensure smooth operations, cost-efficiency, and adherence to quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Supply Chain Management: Plan, implement, and monitor the overall supply chain strategy to maximize efficiency and productivity.
Inventory Control: Manage and optimize inventory levels, ensuring accurate forecasting to meet the demands of the business while minimizing excess stock.
Warehousing: Oversee the warehousing operations, ensuring proper storage conditions, inventory accuracy, and efficient retrieval of goods.
Transportation Management: Coordinate and manage the transportation of goods, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery to various outlets and customers.
Supplier Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors, negotiating contracts, and ensuring the quality and timely delivery of products.
Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve logistics processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and increase customer satisfaction.
Compliance: Ensure all logistics activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies, including food safety standards.
Team Leadership: Lead, train, and develop the logistics team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and high performance.
Cost Management: Monitor and control the logistics budget, seeking opportunities for cost savings without compromising quality.
Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on logistics performance, including key metrics, issues, and improvement plans.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
PG Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred.
Experience:
At least 5-7 years of experience in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field, preferably within the F&B industry.
Proven experience in managing a logistics team and overseeing warehouse and transportation operations.
Skills:
Strong understanding of logistics, inventory management, and supply chain optimization. Excellent organizational and planning skills, with attention to detail. Strong leadership abilities with experience in team management. Proficient in logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Good negotiation and vendor management skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge:
Familiarity with local and international logistics regulations and food safety standards. Knowledge of best practices in supply chain and logistics management.
