As a Software Engineer, you will play a critical role in developing, enhancing, and maintaining web applications for our client. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including vendors, to ensure seamless production support and the successful implementation of new features. This role requires a strong understanding of front-end technologies, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality software solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain reporting functions using BIRT Report and iText PDF.
- Lead front-end module development, code refactoring, and architecture design, ensuring code quality and consistency.
- Implement application features based on client requests, ensuring alignment with performance, security, and regulatory requirements.
- Optimize code structure, enhance modules, and refine system performance at the application and code levels.
- Conduct software design reviews and provide guidance to junior developers.
- Contribute to the successful upgrade of Angular frameworks and resolve associated conflicts.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in software development, preferably in the financial services industry.
- Proficiency in web apps technologies, including Angular (experience with upgrading from Angular 2 to 4 is a plus), TypeScript, and JavaScript.
- Experience with back-end technologies, including application tuning, configuration, and enhancement.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Experience with reporting tools such as BIRT Report and iText PDF.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with production support in a financial services environment.
- Familiarity with regulatory compliance requirements and security best practices.
