Responsibilities:
- Define and execute the strategic direction for the Singapore R&D center, focusing on leveraging advancements in large language models to refine chat experiences.
- Align projects with corporate vision and ensure the successful commercialization of innovative outcomes.
- Assemble and lead a diverse team of engineers, data scientists, and AI researchers.
- Foster an open, collaborative culture that encourages innovation and maximizes team performance.
- Stay abreast of the latest trends in large language model technologies.
- Enhance chatbots' comprehension, emotional recognition, and natural language generation capabilities to create more authentic and engaging conversations.
- Oversee the entire R&D cycle from ideation to product deployment, including requirement analysis, technology selection, prototyping, development testing, and final implementation.
- Ensure project timelines and quality standards are met.
- Work closely with other company departments to ensure cohesive project integration.
- Represent the company at industry conferences and academic forums, delivering presentations and building networks within academia and the industry.
- Track and assess the impact of emerging technologies on our business.
- Continuously explore their application potential in enhancing chat experience and maintaining our technological edge.
Requirements:
- Master’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or related fields.
- Minimum of 8 years of relevant industry experience, including at least 3 years in a senior management position at a major tech company or reputable research institution. Proven track record in leading teams in large model or NLP projects.
- Profound understanding of NLP, deep learning, and machine learning theories and practices. Familiarity with the latest developments in large language models (e.g., Transformer models).
- Exceptional leadership and personnel management skills. Capable of inspiring team members, facilitating effective communication, resolving conflicts, and driving the team towards objectives.
- Strong drive for innovation. Constantly exploring and experimenting with new technologies to optimize chat experiences with a user-centric approach.
- Excellent English communication skills and ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment. Adaptable to a fast-paced international workplace.
