RESPONSIBILITIES
- Development and optimization of operation processes and feedback to concepts
- Manage out-tasking provider to carry out daily server operations.
- Quality and compliance check (e.g. vulnerability scans, patch and antivirus management)
- Automation of tasks and activities
- Optimization of the server landscape - On-premise and Cloud (regional and global)
- Installation, operation, and monitoring of Physical and Virtualized Windows Servers, Storage, and Backup Systems according to defined concepts and standards
- Space/Capacity Management
- Continuous performance analysis of server systems
- Continuous improvement of availability, quality, and efficiency of existing system solutions
- Participate in the rotating shift for 2nd/3rd level support
- Participate in Incident/Major Incident/Problem management activities
- Request fulfillment of Server Team related Services
- Actively share know-how in the Group and maintain continuous contact with the customers of the systems and areas under your responsibility
- Project support for IT/Customer projects
- Proactive optimization of existing system solutions
- Occasional outside-office-hour works for global meeting and maintenance work.
REQUIREMENTS
- This position requires a BS degree in Computer Science or comparable degree and 5 years of experience.
- Good expertise in handling Microsoft client and server operating systems as well as in the area of network technology (in an office and industry environment)
- Minimum MCSA: Windows Server 2016 or equivalent certification or knowledge is required.
- Knowledge / experience on Microsoft Azure Solutions are required.
- Server/Storage Hardware knowledge is required
- VMware VCP level knowledge is required.
- ITIL foundation level knowledge is required.
- Scripting knowledge such as Powershell is an advantage.
- Any other IT infrastructure certificates and/or experiences such as Storage, Network are an advantage.
- Several years of professional experience with expertise in the areas of IT Disaster Recovery and thereof Backup Restore for Server Infrastructure.
- Experience with IT infrastructure implementation projects
- Project management and/or provider management capabilities will be an advantage.
- Inventory management skill for the responsible scope is required
- The employee can make a decisions based on given standard operation manuals and procedures.
- Decision making ability for a group is an advantage.
- Adequate level of verbal and written skills in English is a must.
- Uses clear and effective verbal communications skills without supervision and provides technical guidance when required on expressing ideas, requesting actions and formulating plans or policies.
- Supports business processes without supervision by understanding and effectively using standard office equipment and standard software packages, while providing technical guidance as needed.
- Develop appropriate plans or perform necessary actions based on recommendations and requirements.
- Analyze data trends for use in reports to help guide decision making.
- Achieve full compliance with applicable rules and regulations in management and/or operations.
- Communicate with other people by speaking in a clear, concise and compelling manner.
- Review and create relevant, lucid and effective reports.
