- Create and execute strategic logistics plans in line with the global logistics strategy. Identify opportunities for optimization and cost-effective solutions across Europe, ensuring a cohesive global network
- Manage and enhance the European freight logistics network, ensuring efficient transportation of goods regionally and globally. Collaborate with local and international carriers to improve service quality and reliability.
- Oversee and control logistics expenditures in Europe, continuously seeking operational efficiency improvements. Drive initiatives for operational excellence and supply chain resilience, fostering a culture of innovation and adaptability within the logistics team.
- Ensure adherence to international and regional freight transportation regulations, working closely with Global Trade Compliance and Trade Operations teams. Stay updated on changes in trade policies, customs procedures, and transportation regulations impacting European logistics.
- Set key performance indicators (KPIs) for logistics operations in Europe, collaborating with the Global Freight team to maintain network consistency.
- Develop and implement strategies to mitigate risks related to transportation, customs, or other logistical challenges. Ensure business continuity plans are in place for unforeseen events.
- Work with cross-functional teams, including procurement, finance, trade compliance, and businesses, to align logistics strategies with business objectives. Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including carriers, customs authorities, and regulatory bodies. Leverage carrier partnerships to strengthen relationships.
- Adopt and utilize advanced logistics technologies for real-time tracking, route optimization, and data analytics, in collaboration with the Global Freight team. Identify and implement innovative solutions to enhance the efficiency and visibility of freight operations.
Requirements:
- At least 5 years experience in logistics / supply chain analysis and optimization in global freight or logistics industry.
- International logistics network experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of ERP & TMS systems.
- Immediate starter is preferred
