Our client, a leading player in the food industry, is looking for Senior Shipping Executive.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare all shipping documents for import shipments and process bank documents such as Letter of Credit, etc.
- Ensure all documents comply with Singapore’s import regulations.
- Ensure all documents received on time to avoid charges due to late receipt of document.
- Timely communication to Procurement team on any changes to the arrival dates of any orders – for those with changes more than 2 working days.
- Ensure all documents comply with international trade regulations and the specific requirements of shipping carriers and customs authorities.
- Ensure timely delivery of products while maintaining cost-effective shipping solutions.
- Monitor and track shipments to ensure they reach their destination on time.
- Coordinate with shipping carriers, freight forwarders, and other logistics providers to ensure timely and accurate documentation and shipping schedule.
- Resolve any shipping-related issues or delays in a timely manner.
- Continuous process improvement for documentation and shipping processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Stay current on industry trends and regulations related to shipping and logistics.
- Carry out administrative tasks such as data input, processing of information, completing paperwork and filling of documents.
- Reviewing freight cost, negotiating rates with freight forwarder companies and propose to HOD for review and approval.
- Work closely with Logistics and Purchasing teams to ensure alignment between inventory levels and shipping schedules.
- Maintain accurate records of all shipping documentation, records and transactions for compliance and audit purposes.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Diploma in Supply Chain Management and Logistics, or related field.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in food service or supply chain management within the manufacturing industry.
- Possess Tradenet Certification.
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in using shipping software and tools.
- Knowledge and familiar with shipping term, shipping documentation and L/C preparation and negotiation.
- Highly proficient in Microsoft office applications and in ERP system (experience with SAP will be an added advantage).
OTHER INFORMATION:
- Location: North
- Working days: Monday to Friday + Alternate Saturday half day
- Salary: Salary will commensurate according to experience & qualifications.
