Job Responsibilities:
- Assist to ensure costumes are of the standard they require and prepared to schedule.
- Construct, alter, embellish and repair costumes and costume-related items
- Supervise and guide junior team members in repair and fabrication works not limited to – use of materials, method of construction and time necessary to construct the costumes
- Provide daily work schedules to TM to ensure repair and fabrication works are completed in a timely manner.
- Assist to coordinate the production of costumes with Designers, external vendors, hair and makeup and workroom
- Communicate with Managers, supervisors, production team, show directors and stage management team members in supporting fittings and design and planning needs for USS daily operations and Special Events rehearsals and performances
- Assist with stocking and monitoring costume workshop supplies
- Assist with cleaning and maintaining equipment.
- Attend safety training courses and consistently adhere to WSH guidelines
Job Requirements:
- With Diploma or equivalent: 4 - 5 years of related experience in the following industries: theatrical, film, television, resort or theme park
- Without Diploma or equivalent: 6 - 7 years of related experience in the following industries: theatrical, film, television, resort or them park
- Thorough understanding of backstage etiquette and the ability to teach others.
- Skilled at painting and carpentry techniques
- Some experience in designing and fabricating props and puppets preferred
