- Accountable for driving continuous improvement in data governance culture/technology and expansion of data governance initiative.
- Lead the assessment of data management needs to adhere to organisational strategic objectives and provide solutions and estimates around the enhancement and upgrade needs to cater to the change in business needs
- Drive the awareness and establishment of data-related improvement initiatives across the business
- Extensive consulting experience around all aspects of Data Governance, including but not limited to building Data Governance operating model, DG structure, communication model, DG Roles and responsibilities, performing Data Maturity assessment, Data-Quality framework, Metadata Management, Data Retention and disposition policies, data naming standards etc.
- Ability to manage senior management relationships across all the business and functional areas.
- Committed to quality, precision and timeliness in deliverables and ensuring team members are aware of responsibilities and work as a team.
- Strong understanding of Data Governance concepts; must have experience in implementing DG Framework for large organizations
- Should be aware of industry best practices for setting up a Data Governance framework and operating model
- Knowledge of data-related regulatory requirements and emerging trends and issues that impact enterprise data governance.
- Must appreciate the people, process, and technology aspects of Data Governance and must be aware of various components (or sub-practices) within Data Governance, e.g. Data Governance culture, Data Quality, Master Data Management, Metadata Management.
- Support stewardship activities and training and guidance for stakeholders on approved Data Governance policies & standards
- Support DG benefits quantification and performance measurement
