The Network Engineer is responsible for managing day to day support of operational tasks, requests, incidents, and changes meeting customer’s requirements and agreed service levels. Perform and support regular preventive maintenance tasks.
The activities include:
- Respond and handling of customer requests/queries
- Incident resolution
- Change and Service Request fulfilment
- Problem ticket closure
- Preventive maintenance tasks fulfilment
- Vulnerability assessment
- to assist the Team Lead/Operations Manager to train and guide junior team members
- Develop and enhance NOC team capability
Make an Impact by
- Analysing, troubleshooting and correcting network problems remotely and on-site
- Responsibility for documenting incident RCA report the configuration of the system and (network) system performance tuning
- Responsibility for security compliance, patching, health check & hardening remediation
- Maintaining and administering perimeter security systems such as firewalls and intrusion detection systems
- Performing standard or project change request as per change window
- Provide on-call 24 x 7 support on a rotating basis
- Responsible for applying operating system updates, patches, and configuration changes
- Perform Preventive Maintenance
- Participate in customer weekly sessions
Skills for Success
- Degree in Computer Science / IT or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years of experience in in Network support and maintenance (LAN/WAN/Cloud)
- Minimum CCNA Certified
- Experienced in network/security administration in enterprise DC and Public Environment
- Experiences in supporting firewall /network product such as Cisco routers & switches, Cisco Firewalls, Cisco ACI, Aruba, Infoblox, Citrix load balancers, Solarwinds etc
- Experienced in troubleshooting system and network problems, diagnose and solve hardware/software issues, analysing system logs and identifying potential issues/incident
